A Message from Our President

Dawn Montecalvo - Guadalupe Center President and CEO

At Guadalupe Center, every step forward belongs not only to our students, but also to the families, teachers, donors, and community partners who make their success possible.

What makes this work especially meaningful is the depth of our investment — in both students and those who guide them. By strengthening wages and expanding professional development, we support our dedicated teachers so they can deliver the strongest outcomes for every child in our care. And the results are clear: our youngest learners enter kindergarten prepared, our elementary students gain the skills needed to reach and stay on grade level, and every Tutor Corps senior graduates high school and moves on to college — debt free — many as the first in their family to do so. More than 300 Tutor Corps alumni have now earned their college degrees, a powerful testament to the life-changing impact of education.

We continue to strengthen partnerships across Immokalee as well. Through our Resource Hub, students and families have dependable access to food, household and personal essentials, and critical support systems that help students stay focused, stable, and ready to learn.

Yet our work is far from finished. The waitlist for our programs continues to grow, reminding us that too many children still lack access to the quality educational opportunities they deserve. Together, we can continue breaking down barriers, because education remains the surest path to ending the cycle of poverty in Immokalee.

Guadalupe Center is where endless possibilities begin for students, families, and educators — and with your partnership, those possibilities become brighter, bolder, and within reach for every child.

With gratitude,
